About Me
I’m Dr. Amr Ibrahim Omar, a fully qualified GP working in the Northwest of England, having completed my CCT in General Practice in February 2025. I’m also the founder of Imtiyaz Academy, dedicated to helping GP trainees succeed in their AKT and SCA exams through focused, guideline-based, and real-world teaching
My medical education journey spans three countries. In Egypt, I worked as a teaching assistant at Alexandria University, where I supported medical students in clinical training and exam preparation. I then pursued my academic interests in Japan, completing a Master’s in Life Science (Cancer Biology) at the prestigious University of Tsukuba in September 2018 — one of Japan’s top institutions for research and education
During my time in Japan, I worked as a teaching assistant and participated in collaborative academic projects at both Tsukuba University and Kyoto University, gaining experience in cutting-edge research and international medical education. I also contributed to developing and delivering Medical English communication courses for Japanese doctors.
In the UK, I’ve continued my dual path of clinical excellence and education. I support GP trainees across the country through Imtiyaz Academy, offering high-quality AKT and SCA mock exams, workshops, and personalised mentoring, always aligned with the latest NICE, CKS, and NHS guidance.
Through Imtiyaz Academy, my mission is to help you gain the skills and confidence needed to pass your exams and thrive in daily GP practice.
